Wichita, Kan – April 11, 2016, Nick Pinchuk, Chairman and CEO of Snap-on Incorporated, and other Snap-on representatives made a surprise visit to Wichita Area Technical College’s (WATC) main campus, the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT). Snap-on has been a long time partner of WATC by providing equipment and tools for students, funding for lab renovations and scholarships and through sponsorship of large events such as WATC’s Manufacturing Day and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Signing Day.
Nick Pinchuk expressed his reaction of his first to visit WATC by saying “I was impressed and encouraged with the National Center for Aviation Training at Wichita Area Technical College. The staff is focused on delivering the specific high-tech skills that are needed by the Aviation industry, and they have the world-class facilities to make it possible. WATC is a model for our Nation and a beacon on the way to a prosperous American future. Snap-on looks forward to our continued partnership with WATC to enable and prepare young people for fulfilling careers in aviation manufacturing or maintenance and repair.”
Pinchuk’s presence reinforces the importance of WATC’s partnerships with industry leaders to provide training in high-demand careers.
WATC is a Kansas Board of Regents institution and the state’s leader in modern technical education, offering over 100 programs of study in aviation, healthcare, manufacturing, design and business. WATC serves as managing partner of the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT) in Wichita.
