WATC Scholarships

Thanks to the support of local organization the WATC Foundation is able to offer  external scholarships. Below are a list of external scholarships.

  • Jet AirWerks / Jet AirParts Aviation Scholarship
    The scholarship will award $1,000 per semester to a student in one of WATC’s aviation programs. Students eligible for this scholarship opportunity must demonstrate financial need, have overcome personal odds, demonstrate a high likelihood for success and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.Jet AirWerks, LLC began operations as a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 145 authorized repair station in 2008 in Arkansas City, Kansas. In 2011, Jet AirParts, LLC began operations in the same Arkansas City facility, marketing aftermarket turbine jet engine hardware from the CFM56, CF6 and CF34 engine product lines.
  • Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
    The scholarships from this foundation are for children of Marine and Navy Corpsmen who are pursuing a postsecondary education at any accredited school – whether that be a technical school, community college, or four-year university.  For specific questions, contact Steven Peterson, Chief Operating Officer & Director of Scholarships Programs at 571-384-2790 or via
  • Nontraditional Occupations Scholarship Application
    Awarded through the Kansas Board of Regents to gender non-traditional students (e.g., men in nursing, women in welding, etc.). Four $1000 scholarships are available – 2 will be awarded to high school seniors entering post-secondary non-traditional programs in the fall and 2 will be awarded to post-secondary students who will enter or continue their enrollment in the fall semester.
  • Wichita Aero Club Scholarship for Aviation Training (Application Deadline is March 15, 2015)
    The Wichita Aero Club, in partnership with the Wichita Community Foundation, has launched a continuing scholarship opportunity for aviation studies. Click here and scroll to the bottom of the page to read about this unique scholarship, designed for the student determined to pursue a career in aviation. The award is $2,000, is renewable, and online applications are due March 15 annually.
  • Wichita Manufacturer’s Association Scholarship Application
    The Wichita Manufacturers Association (WMA) has established a scholarship program to support and advance the growth of manufacturing in Kansas.  Under this program, qualified full and part-time students attending any university, community college or technical college in the state of Kansas are eligible for scholarship awards.  Application information is available from the WMA online at
