Shocker Pathway is a partnership between Wichita Area Technical College (WATC) and Wichita State University (WSU) that provides an affordable, convenient and respected way to earn a two-year Associate of Arts (AA) degree from WSU.
Shocker Pathway students earn their associate degree by beginning their general education studies at WATC and earn up to 50 credits for transfer to WSU. Upon completion of an additional 15 credit hours of general education courses at WSU, students will earn an AA degree from WSU.
Follow these steps to get started:
Apply for admission at watc.edu/apply and select “General Education-Transfer” as your planned program of study.
Take the COMPASS placement test or have your ACT scores sent to WATC.
If you have attended college somewhere else, have your transcripts sent to WATC’s office of the registrar.
File for federal financial aid at fafsa.ed.gov.
Meet with an Academic Advisor at WATC to discuss your academic and career goals.
