Each year WATC has representatives from many of our programs compete in SkillsUSA. We are proud to announce that at the 2016 Kansas state competition WATC walked away with 12 gold medals, from 11 WATC students, 8 silver medals and 3 bronze medals.  From these results 11 WATC students will be sent to the SkillsUSA National Competition in June, held in Louisville, Kentucky.

WATC also earned awards for having the largest Post-Secondary Skills USA chapter in the state of Kansas, and a bronze award for Increased Membership (24 new members over last year).

 

SkillsUSA serves students enrolled in career and technical education training programs at our Kansas public high schools and colleges. The organization today has 79 school chapters, and serves more than 3,600 members annually. More than 142 instructors and administrators are professional members of SkillsUSA.
