Wednesday, August 28, 2013 a new matriculation agreement was signed between K-State Salina and Wichita Area Technical College (WATC) for the Avionics program.
Students that complete a 2-Year Associate of Applied Science in Avionics Technology at WATC can transfer to K-State Salina to earn a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Technology (Avionics Systems and Management Option) in an additional 2 years. Click here to view the curriculum requirements.
“I have an Associate of Applied Science graduate who has already enrolled in the K-State program and is taking classes,” said Ralph Cooper, WATC Avionics Instructor and Coordinator.
WATC offers the following degree and certificate options in Avionics: Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Technical Certificate (TC) and Certificate of Completion (COC).
Students are taught a combination of aircraft and avionics theory and practical application at WATC’s main campus, the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT). This high-tech, top-notch facility allows students to earn practical knowledge and hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment and labs.
WATC offers more than 75 programs of study, more than 20 are in Aviation. A Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) institution accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), credits earned at WATC are easily transferred to other state colleges and universities.
