WATC Foundation Board Revitalizes in 2011

The addition of new WATC Foundation Board members and return to regular meetings is revitalizing the WATC Foundation Board. WATC is proud have Dr. Tony Kinkel, Diana Hilburn, Lisa Atcheson, Crissie Nixon and Victor Scott join the WATC Foundation Board in 2011. These additions along with the appointment of Randy Roebuck as the new Foundation Director and Julie Rogers as the Foundation Secretary provide a solid base to grow WATC Foundation activities in 2012.

In addition to a revitalized Board the WATC Foundation accepted thousands of dollars in new scholarship funding, significant gift–in-kind contributions and implemented a new payroll deduction process for employee giving in 2011. These new resources helped dozens of students attend college for the first time and helped provide modern equipment for students to train on.

The WATC Foundation’s goals for 2012 include increasing the number of scholarship donors, increasing the amount of scholarship funding, adding more WATC Foundation Board Members and expanding communication opportunities with donors. A revitalized Board comes just as WATC experiences record enrollment in 2011 and is poised for another year of record enrollment in 2012. As the Kansas economy recovers the need for a highly skilled workforce could not be greater. The WATC Foundation provides critical support to students and teachers enabling WATC to produce this skilled workforce. We appreciate all those who give of their time, talent and resources to help the college and its’ students succeed.
