Program Features
The Floral Design Certificate of Completion is for those who want to become a floral designer. Students learn basic design skills, how to select and prepare fresh floral material, and use professional floral equipment. Topics include basic designs, weddings, solemn events, holidays and theme events, plants and their care, artificial and dried materials. Floral business management is also a part of this program. Graduates will have attained the skills it takes to work for floral shops or open their own business.
This course applies toward electives in the Associate of Applied Science Degree program in Interior Design.
Admission Requirements
In addition to the college’s admissions policy, students must:
• Submit an application for admission.
• Be 16 years of age or older.
• Show documentation of high school graduation or
satisfaction of high school equivalency prior to graduating from the program.
• Meet entrance exam requirements.
