Lean For Healthcare

The purpose of Lean For Healthcare is to introduce the healthcare professional to the principles of process mapping and establishing flow in the implementation of Lean concepts. The student will be able to apply his/her knowledge to a real healthcare situation. The student will be equipped to perform basic process mapping, and to discuss the benefits of establishing flow and pull systems in healthcare processes.

LEN 115 – Lean Healthcare – Overview & Goal Setting

This workshop is designed to introduce the healthcare professional to Lean concepts and discuss the application of these concepts to their work situation. It also addresses the challenges of change management in Lean implementation. The student will be better equipped to identify waste and instability in healthcare processes, and to discuss how lean implementation can be used to combat these issues.

LEN 120 – Lean Healthcare Quality/Stand

This workshop is designed to introduce the healthcare professional to the importance of quality and standardization in the implementation of Lean concepts and principles. The student will be able to apply his/her knowledge to a real healthcare situation. The student will be equipped to reduce instability in healthcare processes through standardization and other Lean principles.

LEN 125 – Lean Healthcare – Establishing Flow

This workshop is designed to introduce the healthcare professional to the principles of process mapping and establishing flow in the implementation of Lean concepts. The student will be able to apply his/her knowledge to a real healthcare situation. The student will be equipped to perform basic process mapping, and to discuss the benefits of establishing flow and pull systems in healthcare processes.

LEN 130 – Lean Healthcare – Root Cause & Kaizen

This workshop is designed to introduce the healthcare professional to the principles of root cause analysis and kaizen in the implementation of Lean concepts. The student will be able to apply his/her knowledge to a real healthcare situation. The student will be equipped to perform basic root cause analysis and kaizen events.
