“She’s reading children’s books,” you say. Yes, in my profile, I said I wasn’t choosy. Donations are great and someone donated the entire set of Alex Rider novels about a orphaned 14-year-old English school boy who finds out his recently-deceased uncle was a spy. Suddenly, he is pulled into the world of MI6, the British spy agency. The plots involve lots of too-rich-to-believe stereotyped men trying to take over the world, but the plots are fast, unusual, and the danger is never-ending for Alex. They are a fun get-away read. Anyone else read anything fun this week–on-shelf or online?
