WATC seeks a qualified contractor to assist with quality assurance of USDOL grant requirements, developing a strategic quality improvement and sustainability plan to ensure compliance.
Wichita, Kan. – In September 2012, Wichita Area Technical College (WATC) received $14.9 million in a Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant from the US Department of Labor.
The funding established the National Aviation Consortium (NAC) to develop industry-standard aviation manufacturing training curricula.
Wichita Area Technical College (WATC) was chosen to facilitate and lead the project which includes four other colleges from across the country.
Through the partnership of the NAC colleges and the Manufacturing Institute, six aviation-endorsed certifications will be developed. Wichita-area leaders in aviation support this project, including Spirit Aerosystems, Beechcraft, and Cessna. NAC is working with these and other leaders in aviation manufacturing to create the right skills for local workers.
WATC seeks a contractor to assist the College with ensuring quality assurance of USDOL grant requirements, developing a strategic quality improvement and sustainability plan to ensure compliance with the USDOL TAACCT Round 2 SGA as the consortium expands beyond the original five member colleges.
Deliverables will include Quality Assurance and Review Strategic Quality Improvement. The end result is to identify instance of risk, weakness or non-compliance in the NAC from both a programmatic and fiscal position in accordance with the USDOL TAACCCT Round 2 SGA and award documents and to provide guidance and identify opportunities for the NAC to sustain current consortium members and grow with additional college partners.
