Wednesday, September 11, Volt Workforce Solutions held an Interview Day at WATC’s main campus, the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT). Onsite interviews were conducted from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. for UTC Goodrich. Sequana Kimbrel, WATC Career and Disability Services Specialist coordinated the event and said that interviews would be for upwards of 80 positions in Composites and Aviation Manufacturing.
The day prior, the Career Services Department of WATC held an information session at NCAT regarding this opportunity. A member of the Volt team was there provide information on how to secure a position with UTC-Goodrich.
WATC has a 97% placement success rate that has been influenced by the work of the Career Services Department. Students and graduates can receive help with career selection, resume and interview preparation and job searching.
The Career Services Department notifies students weekly about open positions and holds other career and job fairs on campus for all programs.
In addition to the services provided beyond the classroom, WATC graduates leave equipped with the skills and training necessary to meet industry needs and land a job. They learn from experienced instructors using state-of-the-art technology and labs.
