One Day Training in Lean Healthcare Offered at WATC – 6 CEU’s Provided

Learn new principles and acquire tangible tools to implement Lean philosophies and methods in hospitals and other healthcare environments. In just one day, you’ll tackle six sections of Lean for healthcare. With a special focus on Lean in the OR based on the instructor’s hands-on experience implementing Lean in Perioperative Services departments across the United States, this workshop will deliver content applicable in a wide range of healthcare settings. Taught by the Lean Hospital Group and instructors Richard D. Rahn and Gerard Leone, authors of several books on Lean in the OR.

About the Program
This course is aimed at busy healthcare Professionals – nurses, nurse managers, nurse administrators, and more – providing tangible tools and knowledge that will enable you to make substantial contributions to your Perioperative Services department. The content of the Lean in Healthcare course was developed based on instructor’s hands-on experience implementing the tools and principles of Lean in Perioperative Services departments across the United States.

About the Instructors
Richard D. Rahn and Gerard Leone have been helping organizations implement Lean since 1994, and have worked with some of the world’s most successful companies, including Toyota, John Deere and Boeing. Since 2002 they have been working on bringing Lean methods to hospitals. They are the authors of several books, including Lean in the OR, Quick Changeover in the OR and Supplies Management in the OR.
