WATC is excited to announce that the Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree programs for Composite Technology and Auto Collision and Repair were approved last week at the Kansas Board of Regents meeting. These degree opportunities are now immediately available to students.
Since the College’s founding in 1965, the Auto Collision Repair program has been a mainstay of WATC’s programs. Students are able to learn skills in repair, assembly and refinishing of automotive vehicles. In addition to the new AAS degree, a Technical Certificate in Auto Collision Repair is also currently offered at the WATC Grove Campus.
The Composite Technology program continues to offer a Technical Certificate, as well as a Certificate of Completion in Fabrication and a Certificate of Completion in Repair. The program is taught at the state-of-the-art NCAT facility and has been offered for nearly three years. WATC is pleased to add an AAS degree to the existing composites certifications. Students enrolled in the different Composites Technology programs receive hands-on working knowledge of the manufacturing methods and techniques used in today’s composite industries.
