The Grainger Foundation, Lake Forest, Illinois, has donated $5,000 to Wichita Area Technical College Foundation in support of its mission to provide quality higher education and leadership in workforce training. This grant will be used to support the WATC Foundation scholarships program.
“These programs currently support the WATC vision to be the leading provider of higher education, specializing in the delivery of career technical education, utilizing state of-the-art facilities with highly qualified faculty, and offering a competitive advantage that drives economic development in the region, ” said Roebuck. “We’re grateful to The Grainger Foundation for its support.”
This donation was recommended by Rick Weidman, Branch Manager of W.W. Grainger, Inc.’s Wichita, KS. location. Grainger has been a part of the Wichita business community for more than 50 years as the leading broad line supplier of facilities maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) products.
