WATC Medical Assistant Program Honors 13 Student Graduates

by admin on May 20, 2011

The Pinning Ceremony to honor graduates of Wichita Area Technical College’s (WATC) Medical Assistant Program was held May 17 at the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT).  Miranda Nevins gave the student address.

“Graduates of WATCs Medical Assistant program gain the skills and knowledge that are in high demand by employers in Wichita, Kansas and Nationally,” said program director Beth Buchholz.

“Because of their ability to perform a multitude of clinical procedures and administrative duties, graduates fill single positions that previously required employers to hire two-to-three employees.  13 students successfully completed WATC’s Medical Assistant program – ready, willing, and more than able to meet the medical community’s needs.”
