Are you looking for a career in either Aviation or Manufacturing or in the Health Sciences industry? There are two job fairs on the horizon for WATC’s skilled students and graduates, giving them a chance to meet and mingle with representatives from the area’s leading businesses.
On April 12, from 2:30 – 5:00 pm, the Aviation and Manufacturing Job Fair will be held at the new state-of-the-art National Center for Aviation Training facility, located at 4004 N. Webb Road.
Industry representatives will be available for those that are interested or involved in programs such as Aviation Maintenance Technology (Airframe and Powerplant), Advanced Aerostructures, Applied Science of Aviation Manufacturing, Avionics Technology, Composite Technology, Nondestructive Testing, Machining Technology, Welding, Architectural Design Technology, and Mechanical Design Technology.
Some of the Aviation and Manufacturing companies attending the fair include Aviation Business International LLC, Triumph Structures, Cessna, Nex-Tech, Duncan Aviation, Aerotek Inc., Kaman Composites-Wichita, Inc., Millennium Concepts, Coleman Company, Professional Mechanical Contractors, Inc., Spirit Aerosystems, and Park Aircraft Technologies.
On April 18, from 10 am – noon, the Health Sciences Job Fair will be held at the Southside Center, located at 4501 E. 47th St. South.
Industry representatives will be available for those that are interested or involved in programs such as Practical Nurse, Surgical Technology, Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Certified Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, Home Health Aide, and Medical Coding.
Some of the Healthcare companies attending the fair include Wichita Clinic, Newton Medical Center, Home Healthcare Connection, Life Care Center Wichita, Craig HomeCare, Kansas Masonic Home, Right at Home, Catholic Care Center, Kansas Workforce Center, Hospice Care of Kansas, Advocate Care Services, Inc., and Allegiance Home Care Services, Inc.

- Bring samples of your work if applicable to your field.
- Have a firm handshake.
- Dress to impress.
- Be confident in your abilities and skills.
- Look the interviewer in the eye when answering questions.
- Follow-up the interview with a note or e-mail.
