Volunteers and Donations Needed to Assemble Easter Baskets for Youthville

WATC will be making Easter baskets and donating them to Youthville of Wichita. Youthville is one of the largest nonprofit, child welfare agencies in Kansas, specializing in Foster Care, Adoption, Psychiatric Residential Treatment and Counseling and Therapy.

For the second year in a row, WATC faculty, staff and students have partnered to help Youthville by making Easter baskets for children.  Last year 80 Easter baskets were delivered and volunteers and donations are already being gathered for this year. But more are still needed!

If you are interested in volunteering your time to help assemble baskets, please meet at WATC Southside campus, located at 4501 East 47th Street South, in Room B115 from 9 am – 3 pm on either Wednesday, April 13, or Thursday, April 14. Baskets will be delivered April 15.

Donations Needed:

  • Baskets
  • Gift bags
  • Candy
  • Decorations
  • Plastic eggs
  • Colored grass
  • Ribbons and bows
  • Boy/girl themed Easter items
  • Monetary donations, etc.

Small Children:

  • Candy
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Toy-small
  • Stuffed animal-small
  • Bubbles
  • Books
  • Socks 

Older Children:

  • Candy
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Lotion
  • Socks
  • T-shirts
  • Body Wash
  • Powder
  • Shampoo

Donations accepted at the following locations through April 12 :

  • Southside Center (commons area)
  • NCAT Campus (staff/faculty lounge)
  • NCAT Campus (student center)
