Volunteer Opportunity with WATC and Quivira Council, Boy Scouts of America

by admin on February 3, 2011

Wichita Area Technical College is hosting the 7th Annual Boy Scout Merit Badge College at its NCAT and Southside facility on February 19.  The merit badges offered to the Scouts will be either partially earned or completed on the day of the event.  Scouts will be able to enroll in two separate merit badge classes of their choice (as long as they are both on the same campus) and enrollments will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis.

WATC is looking for volunteers to help in the classrooms from 7:30 – 11:30 and from 12:00 – 4:00. Instructors are needed for the Engineering, Graphic Arts, Computers, Fish & Wildlife Management, Music and Medicine Badges as well. A lunch of hot dogs or sloppy joes, chips, cookie, and a drink will be provided for all volunteers.

Contact Jessica Ross at 316.677.9537 or Linda Sessions at 316.677.1051 if you are interested.

Help us help the next generation.
