Dental Assistant Students Practice Clinical and Lab Skills

by admin on November 2, 2010

Students are in their second 8-weeks of dental assistant training.  Some students are working towards a Dental Assistant Associate of Applied Science degree, while some are completing the technical certificate. The technical certificate program takes 9 months, where the AAS degree requires additional general education courses.

“I love teaching the Dental Anatomy course and teaching in the dental clinic setting we have here at Southside,” said instructor Lourdes Vazquez. She said the students really enjoy the hands-on learning they get in this program.
