WATC joins fight to cure leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers

by amcfayden on October 6, 2010

More than 139,860 Americans are expected to be diagnosed with blood cancer this year. LLS funds lifesaving research and provides information, support and financial assistance to patients and their families. Without the help of contributors like you, none of these services would be possible.

This year, WATC is forming a fundraising team for LLS’s Light The Night Walk campaign. Light The Night is an annual evening walk that raises funds to support LLS’s mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

The 1-mile walk will take place at Exploration Place on Saturday, October 9th. Registration is at 6:00pm, the walk is at 7:00 pm. We’re trying to recruit 100 walkers and raise $1,000.   We’re asking employees and students to register for our Team by visiting our WATC Team Page.

In addition, everyone is encouraged to invite other students, co-workers, friends and family members to be part of the team. Inspire them by sharing the Light The Night video.

We invite you to either join our team or make a donation.
