We have all heard the words “it takes a village to raise a child” and the reality is that “it takes a village to get an academic year started” as well! As we begin the 2010/11 academic year and students begin to arrive in our hallways no one but those of us that work in this business understand and realize the amount of work it takes for that first day of class to happen. It takes recruiting that begins many months prior, it takes our Learner Services and Learner Success teams many hours of working with students, academically preparing them, advising them, assisting them with adds/drops, financial aid assistance and providing side by side coaching and encouragement for them to be ready to arrive for that first day of class.
Let’s Celebrate the Beginning of a new Academic Year
