Wichita was the top-ranked metro for aerospace and defense manufacturing in Business Facilities magazine’s 2010 Rankings Report.
The city ranked ahead of Huntsville, Ala., Seattle, Wash., Charleston, S.C., and Fort Worth, Texas.

The report also mentioned the presence of the National Institute for Aviation Research and the development of the National Center for Aviation Training, which opened Monday.
