Program Features

The Powerplant – Aviation Maintenance Technology technical certificate (TC) program meets the requirements for students to take the exam for the airframe certificate.  The certificate authorizes the holder to approve aircraft that has undergone inspection or maintenance “for return to service”. This curriculum is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration. Graduates from this program are in demand not only in the field of aviation but in other fields that require a high degree of mechanical knowledge.

    Admission Requirements

    In addition to the college’s admissions policy, students must submit an application for admission, be 18 years of age or older, show documentation of high school graduation or satisfaction of high school equivalence prior to graduation from the program, and meet entrance exam requirements.

    Accreditation, Credit Hours and Cost

    The TC of Powerplant –  Aviation Maintenance Technology is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.  The program consists of 70 credit hours and costs approximately *$13,300.

    *Costs include tuition, student fees and lab fees. Books, tools, uniforms and any other expenses are not included.  Additional fees may apply.
