Program Features
The Nondestructive Testing program (NDT) is a cooperative effort between WATC and the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR). This program produces technicians who understand NDT’s role in the aerospace industry and who have mastered the American Society for Nondestructive Testing’s coursework for Level I and II certification in three NDT methods, including liquid penetrant, radiography and magnetic particle inspection. Students also learn the basics of materials and processes associated with NDT technology.
Admission Requirements
In addition to the college’s admissions policy, students must submit an application for admission, be 18 years of age or older, show documentation of high school graduation or satisfaction of high school equivalence prior to graduation from the program, and meet entrance exam requirements.
Accreditation, Credit Hours and Cost
The COC of Introduction to Nondestructive Testing is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The program consists of 14 credit hours and costs approximately *$2,953.
*Costs include tuition, student fees and lab fees. Books, tools, uniforms and any other expenses are not included. Additional fees may apply.This program has not been approved by the Department of Education for federal financial aid.
