Accuplacer Placement Assessment:

WATC uses the Accuplacer test for placement testing. There are three sections: Math, Reading and Writing. The test is not timed. Please allow approximately 1 hour for each section.

Fees: The first test session is free. Each retest is $5 per test section. Each section of the Accuplacer test may be taken up to three times in one year. Sample test questions and test-taking tips can be found on the Accuplacer website.

TEAS Test:

WATC uses ATI TEAS for admission to the Practical Nurse program. The test is timed, Reading-64 minutes; English-28 minutes; Math-54 minutes; Science-63 minutes. For the ATI TEAS, a calculator is embedded within the exam. Allow 3.5 hours to take all 4 test sections. Students must take all 4 test sections during one test session.

Fees: Each test session costs $55. Students must take all 4 test sections during one test session. Students must wait a minimum of 30 days before retesting at WATC.  ATI TEAS can be taken no more than 2 times per application period.  A study manual and practice test may be purchased online from the ATI testing website or in the WATC Bookstore.

Valpar is a work dexterity test that is used in admission for the AAS Aviation Manufacturing and Certificate of Completion Advanced Aerostructures programs. It is designed to measure abilities related to mechanical comprehension.

Fees: The first Valpar test session is free. Retests are $50. Please call the testing center to schedule. 316-677-9506

Workkeys is a measure of real world skills that are valued by employers. The skills assessed for are valuable in any field of work and any level of education.

Fees: Each test section (Math, Reading, Locating Information, and Applied Technology) costs $15.  Workkeys Business Writing costs $20.
