Tests and Test Fees

Compass Test:

WATC uses the Compass test for placement testing. There are three sections: Math, Reading and Writing. The test is not timed. Please allow approximately 1.25 hours for each section.

Fees: The first test session is free. Each retest is $5 per test section. Each section of the Compass test may be taken up to three times in one year. Sample test questions and test-taking tips can be found on the Compass Website http://www.act.org/compass/sample/index.html

TEAS Test:

WATC uses ATITM TEAS®, Version 5 for admission to the Practical Nurse program. The test is timed, Reading-50 minutes; English-65 minutes; Math-56 minutes; Science-38 minutes. Calculators are not allowed on the TEAS. Allow 3.5 hours to take all 4 test sections. Students must take all 4 test sections during one test session.

Fees:Each test session is $40. Students must take all 4 test sections during one test session. Students must wait a minimum of 30 days before retesting at WATC.  TEAS V can be taken no more than 2 times per application period.  A study manual and practice test may be purchased online from in the WATC Bookstore or the ATI testing website http://www.atitesting.com/Home.aspx

Valpar:

Valpar is a work dexterity test that is used in admission for the AAS Aviation Manufacturing and Certificate of Completion Advanced Aerostructures programs. It is designed to measure abilities related to mechanical comprehension.

Fees: The first Valpar test session is free. Retests are $50. Please call the testing center to schedule. 316-677-9506

Workkeys:

Workkeys is a measure of real world skills that are valued by employers. The skills assessed for are valuable in any field of work and any level of education.

Fees: Each test section is $10. Students are encouraged to take all 3 sections during one test session.
