WATC Foundation Scholarships (2013-2014)
- Airbus Mechanical Engineering Design Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded for the 2013-2014 academic year. Eligible students must be pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Design. This scholarship was made possible by Airbus in Wichita, KS.
- Soroptimist Scholarship (Application deadline: December 10, 2013)
Recipient of $1000 scholarship must be enrolled as a full-time WATC student and be a single mother in need. Student must be seeking an associate of applied science degree, technical certificate, or certificate of completion – all classes covered by scholarship must count toward the degree, technical certificate, or certificate of completion. This scholarship is open to all programs of interest.
- B. Davis Scholarship (Application Deadline is May 26, 2014)
The B. Davis Scholarship is offered to current high school juniors and seniors. Also, if you are a student currently enrolled in any post-secondary institution then you can be considered for this scholarship.
- Minisa Chapter, IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals) Scholarship
(Deadline is March 15, 2014)
This is a local scholarship offered by the Minisa Chapter located in Wichita. The scholarship will be awarded for the Fall 2014 semester in the amount of $350.00. This scholarship will be only awarded to students that are pursuing a degree in Business Administration. Also, if you are obtaining your degree in Business Administration then you are encouraged to apply.
- Nontraditional Occupations Scholarship Application
Awarded through the Kansas Board of Regents to gender non-traditional students (e.g., men in nursing, women in welding, etc.). Four $1000 scholarships are available – 2 will be awarded to high school seniors entering post-secondary non-traditional programs in the fall and 2 will be awarded to post-secondary students who will enter or continue their enrollment in the fall semester.
- Wichita Manufacturer’s Association (WMA) Scholarship
Individuals pursuing certification and/or degrees in manufacturing-related disciplines are encouraged to apply. The scholarship awards are $1000.00 each and are paid directly to the school for application to tuition and/or education related expense. Preference is given to individuals likely to seek employment with one of the manufacturing companies in South Central Kansas. The prime objectives of the Wichita Manufacturers Association is to promote the general welfare of manufacturers, to educate the public regarding manufacturing companies and their products, to meet at members’ plants so as to acquaint the members of the Association with one another and with their products and operations, to attract, advise and assist other manufacturers who may wish to locate in the Wichita area, and to support appropriate educational opportunities and other activities that promote and develop better manufacturing interests, methods and employees.
- 2014-2015 Wichita SER Scholarship Program Scholarship
(Application Deadline is February 28, 2014)
Awarded through the SER Corporation in Wichita, this scholarship is open to all Hispanic students. This scholarship is renewable for up to three years in award amounts of $500 to $1,000 each. The scholarship is given to student’s working toward an associate’s or bachelor’s degree at an accredited junior college or university.
