Aerospace Coatings and Paint Technology Scholarship

WATC has 10 scholarships available to Aerospace Coatings and Paint Technology (Technical Certificate) students. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the applicants must meet the requirements as outlined below.

Scholarship requirements

  1. Complete official Scholarship Application (below)
  2. RSVP and attend a tour on WATC’s Facebook page:
    1. Tour Option 1 – Tuesday, December 7 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
    2. Tour Option 2 – Thursday, December 9 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

  3. To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant/student must complete all admission requirements for the program.
  4. Meet with advisor and enroll  in the Aerospace Coatings and Paint Technology program

Scholarship Information

  • The scholarship will cover tuition and fees for the entire Aerospace Coatings and Paint Technology Technical Certificate
  • The scholarship is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis according to the submission of the application below and all requirements as outlined on this page
  • Students must be registered for classes by 12-16-2010
  • If a waitlist is created you will be notified of your place on the list

About the Aerospace Coatings and Paint Technology program

The Aerospace Coatings and Paint Technology program is a new program to WATC. The purpose of the scholarship is to celebrate the launch of the program.

  • Approximate cost of tuition and fees for the program is $6,853.00
  • The program begins January 18, 2011
  • The class times for the program are 7:00 am-4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Length of the program is 1.5 years

  10. Terms and Conditions

    - Students must have a high school diploma or GED to be eligible for the scholarship

    - To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants/students must complete all admission requirements for the Aerospace coatings and Paint Technology program.

        - Complete and submit the WATC Application for new student admission and the Aviation Coating and Paint Technology Scholarship application
        - Take the Compass Math, Reading and Writing tests and meet minimum scores

    - Student must tour the program and meet with the instructor

    - Student must be seeking a Technical Certificate in Aerospace Coatings and Paint Technology.

    - Scholarships May be applied to Tuition and Fees only. Student will be responsible for any program costs not covered by the scholarship including but not limited to books, tools and any incidental expenses associated with the courses

    - This scholarship is not guaranteed for subsequent terms of enrollment

    - Students must maintain good academic standing that includes maintaining the required GPA to continue receiving this scholarship

    - This scholarship is nontransferable to other colleges or programs

    - This scholarship has no cash value

    - Students who drop or withdraw from the program will be subject to the WATC refund policy and will be responsible for any outstanding charges on their account, including but not limited to paying the charges that were covered by the scholarship

    - Scholarship will be adjusted or cancelled for students who receive 3rd party funding, pell grants or are eligible for employer reimbursed funding.

    - Limit one institutional scholarship per student per semester

    - Scholarship participants agree to participate in up to three college events per year at the request of the college.

    - Students receiving the scholarship must be new students who are not currently enrolled in any WATC classes or programs (unless graduating from their current program before the beginning of the Spring 2011 semester

    Requirements for Renewal

    - Full-time enrollment

    - Cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher

    - Remain in good academic standing

    - Continue to seek the Technical Certificate in Aerospace Coatings and Paint Technology (All courses covered must count toward the Technical Certificate)

    - Valid until completion of graduation requirements

    - Students must be enrolled in the program in consecutive semesters until completion of the program
